The 2009 Taste of the West Trade Show

With such an increase in visitor numbers from the previous year (30%), the aisles were busy and there was a real 'buzz of business' throughout the two days of the show.

Seminars and Demonstrations

A broad mix of fun and informative seminars enabled trade visitors to increase their knowledge of a wide range of industry topics. Speakers, chefs and demonstrators included (l-r):
Suzy Atkins - award-winning wine writer and broadcaster. She writes the weekly 'Sauce' column for the Sunday Telegraph, and is wine editor for Delicious magazine.
Paul Da Costa Greaves
- Masterchef winner 2008.
Andrew Freemantle - award winning farmer and Taste of the West director from Kenniford Farm.

Seminars

What did Exhibitors and Visitors think about the 2009 show?

Jason Nickels - Director, South Devon Chilli Farm
"2009 was a very worthwhile show for us. We met a lot of existing customers and gained some solid new customers from within the region and nationwide too. We were particularly impressed with the number of buyers from outside the West Country."

Dez Turlan - Group Development Chef, Brend Hotels
"Great news that the show is going from strength to strength, and found this year's show of immense value. ... Brend Hotels actively support the promotion of local producers, farmers and the fishing industries."

Tom Cull - Director, Tom's Pies
"As a small business, The Taste of the West Trade Show really helped to raise our profile and 2009 is now set to be our busiest year to date."

Dan Wood of Blackacre Farm Eggs
"We have had several successful years at The Taste of the West Trade Show and 2009 was one of our very best. It once again provided a great opportunity to discuss new ideas and developments with our existing customers which is great, and we also gained around 15 contacts one of which has led us into seven local Asda stores."
